Followers & deal alerts

Build an audience of locals who asked to hear from you.

Every planFor businesses

Members can follow your business with one tap in the GeoMine app. Your follower list becomes an audience you own: send them a push whenever you like, and followers who switch on alerts automatically hear about your Deal of the Day and Power Hours. Every follower opted in, so your messages land with people who actually want them.

How it works

  1. 1

    Customers tap ❤️ Follow

On your business card in the app map, members tap Follow. Turning on the 🔔 bell signs them up for automatic alerts too.

  2. 2

    Your audience grows

See your follower count and 30-day growth on your dashboard, in the portal and the app.

  3. 3

    Message your followers

In the push composer, pick “Your followers” as the audience and send — it uses your normal monthly pushes.

  4. 4

Alerts go out on their own

When your Deal of the Day goes live or a Power Hour starts, alerted followers get one push. You don’t have to do anything.

Why it helps

  • An audience that belongs to your business — not to an ad platform.
  • Followers are warm leads: they chose to hear from you.
  • Automatic alerts make every deal and Power Hour work harder.
  • Watch growth week by week as your poster and pushes bring new followers.

Good to know

  • Followers who turned the bell off still receive the pushes you send manually; the bell only controls automatic alerts.
  • Automatic alerts don’t count against your monthly push allowance.
  • To protect members, each person gets at most 3 automatic alert pushes a day across all businesses, sent between 8am and 9pm.
  • On iPhone, members must allow promotional notifications; the app asks them — we never switch it on silently.

Questions

Can I see who my followers are?

You see the count and growth. Member identities stay private, in line with our privacy policy.

Does a follower get two pushes for the same Power Hour?

No. Followers get the Power Hour alert once and are left out of the regular recent-visitor push for that business that day.
